Today the husband and I celebrate our two year anniversary. Always one to extend a celebration, I planned a picnic this weekend to enjoy at our wedding site, Greystone Mansion. I made a slight oversight in not checking beforehand if picnicking is allowed. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a sign with a picture of a picnic basket and big red cross through it, so we had to quickly amend our plans. After a lovely walk around the grounds reminiscing, we took our basket of goodies to another beautiful grassy area.

I filled our basket with all our faves packaged up in Garnish goodies, served on bamboo plates with my gingham-by-the-roll napkins.

We used fresh and dried lavender throughout our wedding, so I wanted to bring back the memories by using a sprig in our champagne glasses.

The celebrating contines tonight with a nice and cozy dinner. And tomorrow we head out to Palm Springs for a little getaway (well it is work related, but in the spirit of extending the celebration I am treating it like an anniversary related trip).

{Pretty Party}

As you probably already know I'm quite obsessed with long dining tables.  I believe that they are fitting for any occasion and the longer the better. That is why I just had to share these photos – a table for 200 with a farm fresh family style dinner. In my book, there is nothing better.

Though I'm not attending a farm fresh meal in the middle of a beautiful medow this weekend, I do plan on enjoying the lovely fall weather with a picnic. My weekend consists of a long to-do list, so I hope to take a little break to relax in the outdoors while enjoying some yummy treats. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, equally productive and relaxing.

{Sequin} LOVE

Wouldn’t these be a fabulous after-party wedding dress? Even better paired with a fabulous blazer.  If you are considering an outfit change, I would definitely recommend sequins for dress number two. And if you are really bold, these would make a show-stopping rehearsal dinner or engagement party dress.
